How Much Should I Expect To Pay AT ANOTHER LAW FIRM

California DUI defense attorneys generally charge an upfront flat fee pretrial retainer, rather than billing by the hour like civil law attorneys do. Most retainers simply cover everything needed short of trial. For a big-name California DUI attorney with a nationwide reputation expect to pay five to nine thousand dollars or more for a misdemeanor first offense retainer. If you have one or more prior convictions within seven years, expect to pay substantially more. The more prior convictions you have the more serious the penalties and the more vigorous the defense must be. The retainer generally covers both the DMV hearing and the court case, except for trial, which is generally billed additional.

Beware OF Lawyers That Simply Plead All Their Clients Guilty!

Many “cheap” lawyers just plead their clients guilty, instead of trying cases. They don’t charge enough to evaluate all the evidence and every possible avenue for defeating the DUI charge. Unfortunately, there are a large number of bad attorneys out there.

Beware of “DUI mills” who have a large number of young inexperienced associates on staff who will handle the DUI case. Or, worse yet, attorneys that are hired on a per-appearance basis – they’re paid maybe $100 each time they go to court. These attorneys will not take the time to get to know the facts of your case. Make sure the attorney you hire is the attorney who will personally handle your case from start to finish.

Our Attorney Fees

As stated above, some firms charge exorbitant rates to handle a DUI case. We charge only a facture of that. They may be charging you for services you may not need (like hiring an expert to conduct a new examination of your blood sample – call to find out why this is usually a waste of money). We set a fee structure based on the idea that you only want to pay for what you need. Our total fee, for the DMV hearing and criminal court case is under $2,000 for a first time DUI. Flexible payment plans are available to meet your needs. We also accept credit cards. Our initial consultation is free.

We are confident our exceptional skills will help many avoid serious criminal and DUI charges. Call us today 1(877) DUI-PROS to see if your case can be REDUCED or DISMISSED. You have nothing to lose.
